What size box should I use?

As a starting point, a typical wedding dress would fit in a 430x300x140mm or 18x16x9in box.

You can determine the size of the box needed without having to drag your dress down to the post office.

To determine the box size:

  1. Place your wedding dress on a table or bed
  2. Loosely fold the dress into a square-like shape
  3. Measure the width, height, and depth
  4. Use a box that is slightly larger than these measurements

Parcel fees

Remember, parcels are charged by weight, or cubic weight, whichever is greater. Cubic weight is measured using the size of the box, so even if the dress is light, it will cost a fortune if placed in a large box with lots of padding—which is bad news for everyone.
