The Dress
Monique L'Huiller Marbella (Spring 2021 collection but made in 2023). Off the shoulder satin ball gown with long cathedral train and detachable long bow train. The dress can be worn off the shoulder or strapless for dancing. The dress is in beautiful like-new condition and was worn for the ceremony & pictures & first dance (I had a second reception dress). It is a pure white satin truly bridal. I bought it from Carine’s Bridal in Georgetown, Washington, DC.
Alterations
The dress is size 6 and was altered around the bust and waist to fit like a size 4. It was not altered much for length (I'm 5’9 and wore 1” heels). The fabulous update I made was to add snaps so that the off-the shoulder could go into a strapless dress for the first dance. When in its strapless form the back of the dress becomes a bow. It is the perfect ball gown for your wedding. A French bustle was added.
