The Dress

I could not have imagined wearing anything other than the Yaiza silk gown and Nada top on me and my partner's wedding day. Inspired by the less-is-more icons (like Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy), I didn't want to wear something on our day that felt like a costume, but I wanted to wear something that made me feel more special than I ever had before. Ritual Unions struck the perfect note with this one. It's made of double-lined pure silk that truly feels like butter. It is chic as they come and so stunning in pictures and in person.

This dress is cut on the bias, so it is made of one single piece of silk. I did not make any alterations to the dress, except for a slight hem to the front (the back was kept its original length to keep the puddle train). The designer sent me extra strap material that I did not use so that you can replace the straps to be the correct length for your torso so the dress falls properly on your body and at the proper length. It's a VERY easy alteration and should only cost between $20-80 USD to have done at a reputable tailor. I will be sure to include the strap material with the dress in the original garment bag when sold.

I've had the dress professionally cleaned (did so immediately after the ceremony so that we could get the best results possible!). It's in nearly perfect condition, albeit a few faint spots on the bottom of the dress and one faint spot on the neckline that are not detectable unless looking closely. I am 5'8" and wore 2-inch heels with the dress, so anyone at or under that height shouldn't have to worry about the length! Again, changing the straps can help adjust the length of the dress to your needs.

I am also selling the Nada top with the Yaiza gown, so the price is inclusive of both items. The Nada top is a size 36 and was not altered at all. Currently, the Purity veil (chapel-length veil, also from Ritual Unions) is not included. Please let me know if you are interested in the veil, as I am currently not planning on selling.

I had the most magical time on the day of our wedding — I can honestly say that this dress comes with some good, loving, joyful energy with it.
