The Dress

I bought this dress during a sample dress sale at a local bridal boutique. I loved this dress as soon as I put it on!

There’s so many things to love about this dress! The lace detail on the bottom edge of the dress is stunning. Both the bottom and the neckline have scallop edges which is very pretty. The detail in the lace really stood out to me because it has such a unique sparkle! Between the touch of sequins, the pearls and the small gems, the lace is full of beauty. The back has a hidden zipper as well as beautiful buttons. Overall, when I was in the dress I felt so secure in it because of the boning structure.

Unfortunately, I was unable to wear this dress on my wedding day. I was heartbroken because this was the dress that gave me the magical feeling every bride dreams of! In short, the bridal consulate sold me a dress that was too big for me and seamstresses could not alter it to fit me without changing the integrity of the dress. I did not realize the dress was the incorrect size for me because they clipped me into it. They said because of my large bust, I would need a size 20W. I will add that this style of dress was very flattering on my bust.

This dress is so special and I would love to see another stunning bride give this dress the wedding day it deserves!

It was a sample dress at the boutique so there are some minor flaws that the future owner should be aware of. Firstly, there is a small portion of the zipper (about an inch) that is slightly disconnected from the fabric. I have included a picture of this because it sounds more intimidating than it looks! The seamstress I talked to did not see this a a major concern and said it appears to be an easy fix. Secondly, there is a small spot of makeup on the inside of the dress near the bra area. It is not noticeable when the dress is on.

It makes me so sad that I could not wear this dress because it really is so magical. Truly, my hope is that someone can fall in love with this dress so it can be worn and make another bride as happy as I was when I bought it.
