🌹 What makes the Garden Rose unique?

My beloved Garden Rose by Alena Leena purchased as a panic buy during the pandemic with the help and support of my bridesmaids who knew it was the one before I did. When I first tried it on at Love in Lace Bridal Boutique I felt on top of the world. It felt light compared to other dresses I has tried on as it only has 2 layers. It felt like it hugged me in all the right places, it wasn't too revealing around the bust area and I could move freely in it.

The delicate detailed embroidery on the bodice was enchanting and it felt modest, timeless and luxury. I then turned to admire the train and felt massively overwhelmed, by the size and length of it which led to me getting it shortened by Alena Leena and eventually the dress feeling more balanced, more manageable and ultimately more me.

🌹 How did I feel in the Garden Rose?

On my actual wedding day, the Garden Rose made me feel confident, elegant & stylish. I could move around easily, I didn't have to worry about the train getting stepped on or damaged, and I danced the night away relentlessly.

🌹 How did the Garden Rose fit?

Love in Lace Bridal took my measurement and Alena Leena made the dress to the closest size (Size 8). When the dress arrived it fit well and only required shortening of the shoulder straps. For my own satisfaction I also had few small alterations which I have detailed further below.

🌹 What's the condition of the Garden Rose?

At first glance I would say it is in excellent condition - like new. The dress has only been worn once and has been professionally dry cleaned. The bodice and skirt are in pristine condition, on very close inspection there are a couple of tiny marks around the hemline as expected with a wedding dress that's been worn once but nothing that is noticeable.

Alterations

Main alterations (carried out by Alena Leena):
• Train reduced to approx 70cm

Fitting alterations (carried out by Love in Lace Bridal recommended seamstress)
• Shortening of shoulder straps
• Bodice side seams taken in
• Shortening hem top layer
• Shortening hem under layer
