The Dress

The Martina Liana 1376 dress blends classic & modern elements for a truly unique yet timeless look. It’s the best of both worlds: classy and sexy, simple and ornate, sleek and lacey, bridal and hot. I felt a million dollars in this dress! Received lots of compliments about how good it looked, and I would love someone else to now get their turn. The fitted bodice and deep V neck looks awesome. The 3D floral lace on the skirt is stunning, modern and unique. The A line skirt makes it special without being too big and OTT. It’s also very flattering and comfortable, and the A-line skirt means you don’t have to worry about bloating!

Alterations

I altered the sleeves to be narrower and the arm holes deeper. The bodice of this dress is now more feminine and flattering and this is a unique design. Cups were also added for a more flattering bust shape. Two pieces of boning added to the waist to make it more structured and flattering.

It was originally a size 14 but it’s had significant alterations to the bodice to make it smaller (waist, straps and cups) as I lost weight between ordering and the wedding. Top half would be similar to a street size 8-10, bottom half could be bigger due to A line style (I was a 12 but it also fit with ample room when I was a 14). A small amount of the hem got taken up (approx 1-2 inches only).
