The Dress

I fell in love with this dress browsing online, and I knew it was THE gown for me! I went to try it on at Bluebell Bridal in Melbourne (highly recommend), and it was even more beautiful in real life! I had to pay a rush fee for the designer to make it as I was very last minute. The designer is also incredible! It was important for me to find a dress that was as local as possible and did not have too much impact on the environment, and you can read on Harriette Gordon's philosophy on their website:

As for the dress itself, the silk is absolutely dreamy and it falls down so perfectly. It is very simple which means you then have more freedom to play with your hair, makeup, accessories. Most people described it as very elegant and sophisticated, or "French", which is funny as I was actually born in France.

I had some alterations made as I have a small breast. The dress does not have to be very tight around the hips, as it is better to let it 'flow'.

If that's the style you are after, I would love for you to try it on and see if it suits you! You can also style it with the designer's 3.7 Organza skirt 3.7 Organza Skirt. I've also seen people alter the back for an even deeper V!

We got married end of July 2022, so the dress is very new! I got it professionally cleaned with the designer's favorite company. All invoices are available for your reference too!

Featuring a deep v front neckline and co-ordinating deep v to back waistline with low v cut armhole’s. The shoulder width is a fine 2cm.

All of our Natural Gowns are cut on the bias grain forming a fluid and feminine fit. The back features diagonal panels which flatters across the hip and lower part of the skirt joining the godet train.

The Natural Gowns are cut from our signature premium weight silks:

100% silk CDC 40mm outer layer

100% silk satin 40mm inner layer

The outer layer silk CDC has a slight luminosity yet overall matte finish for a flattering drape and the inner silk satin feels beautifully soft and gently against the body.

This gown is available in Natural and Ivory. Natural is our modern ‘white’ and Ivory has a deeper cream tone.
