The Dress

I bought this dress second hand in 2021 for my wedding which was postponed due to COVID19 restrictions. Unfortunately my new wedding date is at a much warmer time of year so this dress is no longer suitable.

Pictures displayed are from the original listing. Dress has not been worn and still has the dry cleaning tags attached.

Description:
Luca Gown by Rue De Seine
Two piece dress (lace overlay and separate silk slip)
Details of the lace overlay: delicate embroidery and a fine soft mesh gives the Luca gown an ethereal and elegant aesthetic. Beading and fringe trim throughout the embroidery. Form fitted silhouette to low hip, form fitting sleeves , full skirt, medium train, boat neck, low back with fringing detail. Includes bustle/dancing loop.
Materials: beaded embroidered nylon tulle, cotton trim and glass beads.

Details of slip: form fitting silk slip which can be worn separately from the overlay (for example, you could wear the slip at your reception without the overlay). The Luca Gown normally comes with the original slip - this slip is from the Rue De Seine range Midnight or Love Song slip and was purchased as an extra as I preferred a more form fitting, deeper neckline and lower back slip (slip is as pictured on the model).

Faults:
There is a few small holes in the train from the original owner. The largest hole is approximately 8mm in width at the bottom of the train and is almost impossible to see once the train is fanned out.

I am not looking to repair the train as I do not know what the next bride is likely to do with the train (eg. they may decide to shorten the train).
A few beads are missing from the overlay but does not effect the overall appearance of the gown.

Alterations

Alterations:
The bottom of the overlay has been hemmed. The model pictured is 5ft 6" and the dress fell as pictured with 2 inch heels worn.
An invisible zipper was added to the overlay to for ease getting the overlay on/off. It also made the overlay more form fitting.
