The Dress
I absolutely loved wearing this dress. The sequins allow for a subtle sparkle in both daylight and underneath fluorescent lighting, and the tulle adds an ethereal softness—not to mention the fact that it's comfortable, hugs all the right places and has the most stunning and delicate lacework. The numerous layers give the dress so many dimensions. The illusion bodice was my favourite part—it looked as if there weren't even any kind of straps on my shoulders, just beautiful appliqué covering my chest, leading up to my neckline. It's only been worn once and when I took it to get proffesionally cleaned, I was told that it was in the best condition the lady who cleaned it had ever found a wedding dress to be in post-wedding.
Alterations
The waist of the dress was altered to be made smaller and the length of it was trimmed (I am 167cm when not wearing heels). A small amount of extra appliqué was stitched to the sheer fabric of the plunging neckline to heighten it.
