The Dress

Marianna Hardwick gown. Purchased from this website second hand for $1000 but never worn in 2011.

Strapless, ivory, silk gown, complete with built in bra, fully lined. The dress zips up the back but with buttons over the top to conceal the zip.

This dress was made for a size 10 girl and was advertised as a size 10, however the bottom part of the dress will easily fit a size 10 to a small 12, but the top part of the dress is fairly narrow and would not be suitable for someone with broad shoulders and wide back, would definitely fit a size 8 to 10. Please also note that the girl modeling the dress in my photos is a size 8 and the dress does look slightly too big for her. In my opinion this dress would suit someone who is a size 10/12 bottom but 8/10 top.

The dress is absolutely stunning, quite heavy but fabulously soft against the skin, the square shaped bodice at the front could easily be modified to soften the edges ie to be made into a rounded V shape which I intended to do.

The dress had been dry cleaned when I purchased it and comes complete with garment bag. This was my favorite wedding dress however for me I simply could not do it up across my back.

Unfortunately though I do not have a lot of information on this dress from when I purchased it last year.

Although I have stated $400 I am open to offers. I purchased 3 dresses from this website but never wore any of them due to none of them doing up across my back, they are now hanging in a spare room in their garment bags in need of new owners and I'm in need of the space back in the spare room! I anticipated dropping from a size 12 to a 10 in order to fit into one of them but it wasn't to be and so ended up purchasing a brand new Lisa Ho gown instead, a costly exercise (but fun at the same time)!
