Oscar de la Renta strapless 'Andrea' Alencon French lace gown, matching Oscar de la Renta 'Mantilla' cathedral length lace trimmed veil and 2 x matching Oscar de la Renta sashes (1 x crystal and pearl embellished which I changed into for the reception and 1 x plain which I wore for the church ceremony).

All items worn only once for my wedding in August 2012.

Ordered and purchased BRAND NEW from Australia's only Oscar de la Renta stockist, Helen Rodrigues (located in Sydney). The dress was made in New York and then shipped to Helen Rodrigues for my final fittings.

Gown: The stunning ivory gown (which has 2 x full separate under layers of silk taffeta covered entirely in a floral patterned Alencon French lace) was made for me and I am generally a Australian/UK size 10 (USA 6) to Australian/UK size 12 (USA 8) in off the rack clothing/street sizing. The length is currently sitting to suit a height (in heels) of 5'8 (173 cms) but can be altered to suit a shorter length/height. The gown is fitted on the waist and bust (it has a very comfortable and effective in-built 'corset' with subtle bust padding - than can be removed if desired) and is semi-fitted on the hip/thigh, falling in a very flattering 'mermaid' style from mid-thigh to floor. The dress can be altered to give it's lucky new owner the perfect fit. The gown is actually very comfortable to wear as well - not heavy or 'itchy' feeling at all. Very flattering shape for girls with curves.

Veil: The amazing ivory-white tulle veil is cathedral length (5 metres) and is an exact match to the gown (the lace on the edge of the veil is the same pattern that is on the edge of the gown).

Sashes: Both fully adjustable tie on style in ivory-white satin. One plain and one crystal and pearl embellished. Both 210 cms long and 3.5 cms wide. I wore the plain sash for the church ceremony and then changed into the crystal/pearl sash for the evening reception to add a little extra sparkle.
