The Dress

This Nicolet is absolutely stunning. Custom made to be all-ivory and without gold sequins. Beautiful handmade lace, a tasteful amount of delicate beading in the front, and an ethereal chiffon skirt all balance out a plunge neckline. So timeless!

The tag says size 2, which I usually am in street clothes, but my rib cage is a little bigger, so I had the zipper changed to a simple lace-up with an ivory satin ribbon by a professional wedding dress tailor. Therefore, this dress could easily fit a size 4 as well.

My measurements are 27" waist and 35" full bust (I wear a 32D/ 34C). Hemmed to grace the ground at 5'5". I'm 5'4" and wore 1" heels, but 2" heels would have looked great too. Straps were shortened a bit. I love that I didn't need to buy special undergarments; the way that this dress is constructed, I felt super secure.

I cannot stress how much I loved wearing this dress at my wedding this summer. It was so comfortable all day long, especially in the heat, and I didn't want to take it off and the end of the night. And I got so many compliments. I would love to see this dress be enjoyed again.

"Nicolet features a plunging neckline, unique double straps, and a low back. Intricately designed, Nicolet’s bodice perfectly combines lace, rose gold sequins, and ruched chiffon. The almond chiffon skirt is cut on the bias and flows effortlessly from the waist to the floor. The gown is tied together with a taupe grosgrain ribbon.

The bodice is constructed with two sets of interfacing and is fully boned to give structure and support. Skirt length measures roughly 46” at the front and 51” at the back. It can easily be shortened using an experienced bridal tailor."
