The Dress

I only tried on 3 other dresses before I fell in love with my Anna Campbell Coco wedding dress from The Babushka Ballerina in Brisbane. It is an Anna Campbell Size Small.

It is truly the most stunning, comfortable and flattering dress a bride could ask for on her wedding day. The beaded bodice is breathtaking in its intricacy - with pearls, crystal and lace, which means you can accessorise to your heart's content (although I chose very simple accessories because the dress was the star all on its own and didn't need anything to make it complete).

The Brocade skirt is so soft and flowy, with a split up the front, which makes it so much easier to walk and shows off your wedding shoes perfectly!

The dress was handmade in Melbourne and is 100% silk, bust and lining and Brocade chiffon skirt.

Honestly, I know that everyone says this, but I truly felt like a princess on my wedding day and received so many compliments from wedding guests about my dress.

The Summer headpiece is also made by Anna Campbell (RRP $199) and I am happy to include it in the price.

I had the straps sewn into the back (which is necessary for all Anna Campbell dresses) but this could be easily unpicked and re-sewn by a dressmaker. I also had the skirt taken up to floor length. I am 167cm tall and wore 10cm high heels. The split at the front and the cascading design of the skirt will give some leeway with the length if you are a bit taller than me.

There are some very minor shoe marks on the very bottom of the skirt but they are hardly noticeable. The dress is otherwise in as new, perfect condition. I even kept all of the original tags and extra beads etc. The dress has been professionally dry cleaned by Leon's Fine Dry Cleaning in Brisbane.
