Martina Liana, Shae

Skirt only! This romantic and elegant skirt is part of the current Martina Liana separates range. The design is classic and simple, with a sexy split on one side which is only revealed occasionally as the material usually covers it up. I wore it with the Celia bodice. This skirt feels AMAZING, the Parisian Silk Chiffon material flows beautifully and looks incredible in photos. You can see how different the skirt looks depending on how I'm holding it or moving or if the wind has picked it up. This made for really interesting photos as the skirt seemed to have a personality of its own!

I wore the skirt for the ceremony and photos then changed into a short skirt for the reception as I knew I'd be spending most of the night on the dance floor! This was a big bonus in having a separate skirt and bodice! So it was only worn for about 3 hours and has been profesionally dry cleaned.

The skirt is currently located in Adelaide with my in-laws although it could possibly be picked up from Sydney or Perth if we organise the timing right as they tend to travel to visit their family. If you are in another state I would recommend trying it on at a bridal store first (not all of them have it in stock though!).

The only measurement you need to check is your waist circumference (wherever you want the skirt to sit) - it is 72cm around the top of the skirt. This is the only measurement that will matter as the skirt would comfortably fit over any hip size. I am usually size 9-10 but have slightly wider hips and smaller waist. In hindsight I could have gotten a size 9 because there is plenty of material for the hips.

None! This skirt is in original condition. The length was unaltered (I am 173cm tall and wore 10cm heels). The only thing I had my seamstress do was add a couple of extra loops to the seams on the underside of the skirt so I could put them around my wrist (I have done this in the last photo). There were already some of these but we needed a couple more. These are not normally visible.
