The Dress

This dress is by Allure Bridals, Style 9257. It is an ivory lace overlay with a champagne satin underlay, which makes for an extremely flattering dress color! The color in my photos is slightly washed out, but the contrast between the lace and the underlay is a bit more noticeable in person, as shown in the Allure sample photo. The design of the lace on the dress is incredibly beautiful and unique, many of my guests said it was one of the most beautiful wedding dresses they'd ever seen.

The dress is an Allure size 8, but I typically wear a size 2 in off-the-rack dresses. My jean size is 26 or 2, I typically wear size small in all shirts and a 32D bra. My exact measurements are Bust (with lightly-padded bra on): 35", Waist: 26", and Low Hip (8" from waist): 36". Allure size 8 measurements are Bust: 35", Waist: 26.5", Hips 38.5". I did not have the dress taken in at the hip area, as I wanted to leave some space to make sitting more comfortable. I did have the cups re-boned in the dress, as they arrived somewhat pointed and I wanted a more rounded shape. I also had to have it taken in a couple inches around the chest so it would not gape and it was taken in slightly around the waist. The largest alteration was hemming. I am slightly over 5'2" and I wore a platform wedge with a 3" heel and 1" platform, so it is hemmed to that height. If wearing flats, someone around 5'5" could wear the dress, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone taller than that, as I don't think you would be able to add length to it in alterations.

Overall the dress was incredibly comfortable to wear throughout the evening! It has full boning and a built-in corset, so it give you an incredible shape and you feel comfortable and confident in it. It is bustled in a sort of elaborate way, but it was very secure and stayed bustled all night, so it was worth it. The bustle involves the multiple layers of the dress, and isn't difficult to figure out, but I can explain it in detail to anyone who purchases it or wants more information. The dress is in excellent condition, no stains or tears. The very bottom of the lace is slightly distressed from wear, but you cannot notice that when the dress is on and have to look closely to see it. I wore the dress outside during the ceremony, but mostly on clean, painted concrete and held it up when walking through any other area. Overall it is in great condition and I think anyone would be happy to have it! I'm willing to discuss price.
