Essense of Australia, D3971

This dress originally came with an off the shoulder shawl (https://www.essensedesigns.com/essense-of-australia/wedding-dresses/d3971/), but I had this altered to be dainty detachable off the shoulder straps. These are adjustable, as there are a few button placements in the back of the dress so you can either have them hang loose or tight, whichever you prefer! The back is a soft mid back with dainty buttons all the way down (hiding the zipper). In terms of measurements, the dress was originally purchased as a size 6US, and altered closer to what you might consider a size '5'. I am 5'1, and wore 2inch heels on my wedding day, the dress just hovered the floor. I don't have the exact length of the train, but it is so beautiful and not too long. In terms of the fabric - it is "Ivory Organdy Jacquard" which was not an option to select on this website, but the best way I can describe it is that the main fabric is more matte, and then the embroidered florals give off a satin vibe, especially in the sun where it shines a bit more. I LOVED this dress so much because it had the subtle floral pieces to it that were not "too much" but really popped in the light and on the dance floor. The embroidery is flush with the dress which I also found was very elegant and not too overbearing in terms of details. Regarding the bust, this was hard to measure because the back of the dress goes more mid back - but I wear a 34A bra, which would likely make the bust about 35inch or 89cm. There are no cups in the dress, but if you share my bra size, you would be able to put in a sticky cup insert (which I have and am happy to also include in the sale). I ultimately did not use the inserts just because to me I felt it looked a bit unnatural. Needless to say, there is some wiggle room for that if you wanted to add it :) I was really concerned about the possibility of gaining weight before my wedding, and my seamstress reassured me that there was still plenty of fabric they could take out to loosen it by a few inches if I needed. Ultimately this was not necessary, but if your bust and waist is only 2-3 inch more than these measurements, you could get it taken out to fit you perfectly! Lastly, I didn't add a hip measurement because the dress becomes very flowy and non restrictive, so you have all the room in the world once you get to the hips! This was my dream dress, it was so comfortable ALL day, and I felt so beautiful. I want so badly for someone else to get to experience this dress magic!
