It’s time for me to pass on my beautiful wedding dress and hopefully let it become part of someone else’s special day and memories. This dress means a lot to me, and I would love for another bride to feel just as happy and comfortable in it as I did. The dress is by Canadian designer Mikaella.
I originally purchased it in a boutique in Walton in a size 12 and had it professionally altered to fit closer to a size 10. The corset back makes the top very adjustable and flattering, which helps it suit different body shapes comfortably. The skirt was also slightly tailored at the sides to better fit my hips, although I do have quite wide hips, so there is still room for additional alterations if needed. As with most wedding dresses, a few adjustments are usually expected to achieve the perfect fit for each bride.
For reference, I’m 1.63m tall and wore 7cm (2.76 inch) heels on the day.
It was such a special dress to wear, and I truly hope it can make another bride feel just as confident, beautiful, and excited on her wedding day as it made me feel on mine.

- The skirt was taken in slightly at the sides to create a more tailored fit around the hips
