This stunning Penny dress by Suzanne Neville captured my heart from the second I tried it on. The A-line silhouette is incredibly flattering, elegantly accentuating my figure while allowing for easy movement throughout the day. The unique, origami neckline adds a touch of modern style, perfectly framing my décolletage for a classic bridal look. And the Mikado fabric is beautiful, falls really nicely, and cleaned up well from the dry cleaners (no stains!)
One of the standout features is the high slit, which I had hook eye closures added for adjustability. Another major bonus is the hidden pockets in the skit which are big enough to fit your vows, phone, lipgloss, or whatever you need!
This dress was made to measure as I was between a size 4 and 6. The bust is closer to a 4 (I am a B cup), but the waist is closer to a 6 (I'm pretty straight up and down). Given the built in corset, this should accommodate multiple sizes but can always be adjusted by a tailor. I did NOT have the corset or bodice altered, the only alteration was the hem. I am 5'2 and wore 4" heels. ~1 to 2inches can be let out of the hem.
3 point American bustle has been added to the skirt with see through buttons. Note - there is a rip that was mended on the back of the skirt where one of the bustle loops ripped out when my lovely husband stepped on my dress (lol). I've added photos and a video of the rip to be completely transparent. There is only ONE rip, the other creases you see in the video are just wrinkles from the dress being in storage.
