Can't explain how flattering this dress is on!! I hate wearing dresses and was dreading wedding dress shopping until I tried this one on and immediately felt so special. Beautiful hand dyed silk layers with an intricate hand beaded top overlayer. I had this dress custom made with slightly wider straps than the standard (could easily be swapped back to spaghetti straps). Skims the body and shows off figure without clinging or being tight. I unintentionally lost a little weight in lead up to wedding and chose NOT to have the dress taken in but still felt great in it. I would say it is a true size 8 but in the pictures I am closer to a size 6 especially up top. I had the straps shortened slightly to accommodate the smaller bust but didn't have the dress taken in at all. With the beaded overlay and multiple silk layers the fit is quite forgiving and would suit size 6 or 8 without alterations I would say. Hem length to suit 170
some very minor marks UNDER the hem that didn't come out with dry cleaning along with a small tear in the hem of the silk georgette overlay that will require repair. happy to share photos of both and repair hem prior to sale if required.
