Elegant Simple Luscious Charmeuse A-Line Wedding Dress

I was looking for a fun, comfortable dress for my reception - after all, who DOESN'T want to be able to eat and dance the night away on their wedding day?? Enter Sorvete!

I fell in love with the slightly A-line skirt, the gorgeous silky fabric, the high slit, and the deep V in the front and back. I did not fall in love with the puff sleeves or tassel tie in the back... So I completely customized it! How many dresses are sexy, glamorous, and CLASSIC? I received compliments all night long and felt so comfortable, confident, and beautiful -- I hope you will too!

Alterations: I removed the sleeves (can you imagine trying to eat in those things and NOT dipping them into a sauce??); the arm holes were expanded and the straps lifted by roughly an inch and cups were added (I used some safety tape, but felt secure all night long!); the chest and waist area was taken in; the dress was hemmed to accommodate 3.5" heels and most of the train was removed. I also sewed the slit down by an inch or two to minimize the chance of accidental exposure. I also removed the string tie for the back and added a triple chain of sparkly rhinestones (which I will include with the dress). The seamstress for some reason removed the hook and eye that held the chain, so my matron of honor sewed loops in -- these should probably be reinforced (see photos). I also added cups to help keep "the girls" in place (see photo).

Condition: Professionally dry-cleaned. I found one small mark at the back at the top of the zipper. As mentioned above, the loops for the back chain should probably be reinforced if you want to keep some kind of back jewelry (see photos).
