Custom Milla Nova ‘Mercedes’ Cover Dress Transformation

Originally purchased as the Milla Nova Mercedes cover dress (see last photo for reference), this gown was beautifully transformed into my dream wedding dress using custom alterations and additional fabric sourced directly from Milla Nova.

The original cover dress was designed to be worn over a separate glitter dress (not included in this purchase), but instead of buying the glitter dress, I ordered matching fabric from Milla Nova and had a bespoke skirt crafted and professionally fitted by a seamstress. This allowed the entire dress to be made from the same luxurious material, creating a seamless, elegant finish.

In the second-to-last photo, you can see the cover dress when it first arrived (with a simple champagne colour satin slip skirt purely for modesty during fitting). This was not part of the final look. Once the custom skirt was complete, it was attached and tailored into the cover dress to form one cohesive dress.

Additional customisations i made to the dress:
• Detachable arm cuffs, secured with discreet buttons, allowing for a versatile look with or without sleeves.
• A discreet modesty panel added between the chest and neckline for comfort and coverage. It gave the dress such a soft neckline, so many compliments. If you don't like it and prefer the straight neckline, this can easily be removed it's only attached by small stitching and took seconds to stitch in or pick out
• The train was restructured to be symmetrical, flowing evenly around the waist, as opposed to the original asymmetrical design which had one panel in front and one at the back (visible in the last pic of the model wearing the cover dress).

This is a completely unique version of the Mercedes dress, perfect for someone wanting something timeless, refined, and custom-built with attention to comfort and elegance. I can say that I am the only person to have ever worn this dress as it's completely custom from Milla Nova!

*I kept the plastic packaging on sorry as it's been dry cleaned and packed really nicely and I don't want to ruin that for delivery
