Maggie Sottero, Albany

This is the stunning Albany dress by Maggie Sottero – it’s romantic, elegant, and was just perfect for my big day. It has a gorgeous fit and flare shape that hugs in all the right places but still lets you move (and dance!) comfortably.

The square neckline and delicate straps give it a really timeless feel, and I loved the soft pinky underlay – it’s so flattering and adds just a hint of colour without being too much. The dress is covered in beautiful 3D floral details, sparkly beading and sequins that catch the light as you move. It felt magical every time I turned!

The back is low and elegant, and I had a bustle added so I didn’t trip over the train later in the evening – it just hooks over a button at the back and worked a treat.

It’s a UK size 12 but I had it professionally altered at the shoulders, bust, and hem to fit me (I’m 5ft 3 and wore low heels). It’s been professionally cleaned since the wedding – there are a couple of very faint marks on the inside of the train (not visible when it’s on), and a few of the buttons at the back are missing, but those are easily replaced.
