About the Dress

The Kim by Margot is TRULY the perfect combination of cool-girl bridal meets timeless elegance. I never expected to fall in love with a lace dress, but when I tell you my heart did somersaults in my chest when I laid eyes on this one (at Jaxon James Bridal in NYC), I'm not kidding. There is simply no sufficient way to describe to you not only how beautiful the Kim is in person, but the way she made me feel when I was wearing her - it was beyond magical. The inner corset sucks you in and snatches your waist, so you feel slim and secure, but you can relax and breathe easily. The a-line shape is flattering and feminine, but not fussy at all. The lace feels romantic and ethereal, without feeling too girly-girl. I am emotionally attached to her and will ABSOLUTELY cry when I have to say goodbye, but it would be even more sad to watch her sit in the corner of my closet for years to come. She deserves to get back out there and walk down another aisle on the best day of someone's life.

The dress starts at $10.5k. I also had it lined on the inside (an extra $1.2k). If you pay my full price, I will happily throw in my insanely gorgeous chapel-length veil for you as well - which I also bought brand new at Jaxon James for over $600.

Alterations

I had the dress made-to-measure, then had it hemmed for length. Because the base model is completely see-through (I got married in a church, so..adjustments had to be made), I added two soft layers of tulle on the inside for an added touch of modesty, but it still maintains that ethereal, lightweight look. But, you could definitely have them taken out if you want the translucent effect back.
