About the Dress

I was lucky enough to be able to buy a Muse Gown from Australian Designer Chosen by KYHA when they opened a pop up store in London in 2022. The model is still available on their website (but they do not have UK store), their description reads as follows:

"True to its name, Muse's distinctive embellishment and modern silhouette inspires love. Bespoke Chosen by KYHA beading means Muse's corseted bodice and fit and flare skirt catches all the light. Perfect for a combination of structure, support and drama, it is easy to see why Muse is fast becoming a modern classic."

I loved the dress but never thought I would get the opportunity to try it and buy it in the UK! I got it professionally cleaned by a renowned dress cleaner in the UK, WedClean, and the dress has lost a few beadings after the wedding but honestly even knowing it I couldn't see it!

Size:
I have not made any alteration to the main part of the dress so the sizing and length is exactly as per the original design that you can see on the designer website. In the uk I am size 10 for the top part of my body and size 12 for the bottom part. I am also very tall 1m77 (or 5.8) so you have plenty of room to adjust the length of the dress if you want to!
Size 4 bust - designer website says it's 93cm
Size 4 waist- designer website says it's 72 cm
size 5 hips- designer website says it's 106 cm
You will note that these are slightly smaller than my own measurement for the bust and waist but I was advised to take smaller as the material gives a bit with wear and the sizing is perfect for me!

I absolutely love the dress and hate the idea of parting with it but I will realistically not wear it again so hope one of you will enjoy having the opportunity to try the model on in the UK as it is not commonly available and have a fabulous wedding day in it!

Alterations

Alterations: I have not made any major alteration to the dress, but two points to note
- Tan lining: I have cut the interior lining at knee level so the bottom of the dress could be transparent as you can see on the picture. This was recommended by the designer team when I bought the dress. As per the above I am tall, so if you are smaller than me the lining would go below your knees and you could have an opportunity to decide to leave it longer or cut it shorter.
- I had a seamstress add a very small pearl wrist loop that is attached inside the dress so you can pull up the train of the wedding dress when dancing/ walking. I found it very useful, but you could easily remove it if you don't want it.
