About the Dress

I had the time of my life wearing this dress, and I hope someone else can get even more enjoyment out of it! It is comfortable, lightweight, and easy to wear. As an A-line, I found it to be a classic silhouette that highlighted all of the best of my natural features and made me feel comfortable and confident. It is in excellent condition, has been worn once, and has been promptly and professionally cleaned, and stored with utmost care hanging in a dry-cleaning bag.

The dress features several lightweight layers of tulle, creating a full and dramatic skirt with a long, stunning train, adding just the right amount of drama.

The top of the dress includes dreamy embroidered lace, featuring flower petals and vine patterns that extend from the bust partway down the skirt, so the ornate top ties into the simple, understated skirt. There are four buttons to secure the dress as a closure in the back. The dress includes subtle white sequins and intricate beadwork in flower patterns, adding a beautiful detail to the bodice of the dress. It has a structured feeling that made me feel secure and was easy and comfortable to move in for the entire evening. The plunging v-neck in the front is an elegant and classic cut, and is mirrored by the low v-neck back -- providing a good balance given the full coverage of the skirt.

Overall, I truly loved wearing this dress. I found it to be classic, timeless, comfortable, and flattering. I know you'll love it, too, and I truly hope it gets another chapter in its life. It's too beautiful to spend the rest of time stored away in the back of a closet.

Alterations

I have altered the dress so it now includes a ballroom bustle. The train can easily be tucked and tied up inside the skirt so you can dance and walk with ease. I purchased the dress in a size six and had the top taken in a size and a half to fit my measurements (34" bust, 28" waist). It was also slightly hemmed, to fit my height (5'5" ) plus 2" heels.
