About the Dress

This was my dream dress, I'm sad to see her go, but hopefully it'll make another girl's dream come true!

Strapless and sheer with peekaboo side cut-outs, an embellished bra-like top featuring a sweetheart neckline atop a constructed corset bodice. Every inch of the dress is covered in hand sewn metallic beads creates sparkle like crazy when the light hits.

My favorite part was the crystal-beaded strands that drape off the shoulder - but don't worry, the line they used to create the draped shoulder is very stretchy and durable. I was really worried about having my first dance in this dress, but it was no problem at all.

Disclosure: The designer advised not to have this dress professionally cleaned because the heat from the industrial machines can melt the beads, but said it should be easy to wash at home with some oxy clean in your bathtub. I only wore this as a reception dress for a few hours and the venue was inside on tile floor as you can see from the pictures. Honestly, I'd only recommend giving the bottom a light wash to release some of the discoloration you'd expect from a few hours of dancing.

There's also one very small tear (about 3 inches) on the side seam of the dress about 1/2 inch from the bottom, should be incredible easy to repair and one piece of string that connects to the bustle that needs to be swapped out. Both are fixes that could be made at home in 20 mins.

Alterations

The dress had all the typical alterations needed to fit my body type, along with a stunning bustle that is stunning when you twirl. I'll include the instructions, it's a little more complicated than most bustles, but it's worth it
