Measurements
This wedding gown is mine from 1987 and evokes memories of a southern belle ballgown. The gown is a size 6 and is floor length for someone 5"3 with approx. 3 inch heels. The gown is white and made of taffeta with layers of ruffles, embroidery and pearl beading with a long train with the same layers of ruffles and lace. The half slip (which is included) adds additional fullness to the gown! The neckline is scooped with lace, embroidery and beading to enhance it. There are built in cups so a bra is not necessary. The top of the sleeves are made of taffeta and puffed and then taper to lace long sleeves with snaps to keep the sleeves tight. The back of the dress is also scooped with lace trim, embroidery and beading. There are buttons on the back to pull the train up. As the dress has been stored in plastic since 1987, dry cleaning will probably be necessary. Additionally, if interested the hat (which was self-designed) can also be included at no additional charge!
