About the Dress

This gorgeous Vivienne Westwood gown is part of the new 2025 collection. Purchased in October in the flagship store in London in the Silk Faille fabric. She will be available after my wedding in May.

As a reinterpretation of the iconic ‘Bird of Paradise’ dress, which originally appeared in the Spring-Summer 2005 Gold Label show – Ultra Femininity, the Tabitha encapsulates the grandeur of the Baroque age. The layering of drapes in the upper part of the gown flows into a delicately bias-cut circle skirt revealing a side slit, remaining faithful to Vivienne’s approach of celebrating femininity.

Comes with VW garment bag. Receipts upon request. I'll upload additional photos when I have them :)

Alterations

Hemmed to my height of 5'6" in 4" heels. Total height: 5'10" (177.8cm)

Tack (single stitch) added to close the leg slit slightly. This can easily be removed.

My seamstress found the exact fabric (Ivory Silk Faille) of the dress to add the bow detail on the sleeve as this was not an option at the time of purchase. These are made to easily attach and detach for a different look.
