Kyha Studios, Kasia Corset & Millie Skirt

An avant-garde twist to a classic ballgown, this two-piece set (the Kasia Corset and Millie Skirt) from Kyha Studios (FKA CHOSEN by Kyha) makes the most stunning wedding dress. At first I fell in love with it because it felt so unique but the softness of the tulle and how easy it is to move in is what sealed the deal for me. I'd tried on a number of wedding dresses that were gorgeous but ultimately all felt a bit suffocating and either heavy or tight like I was going to have to suck in all day but when I tried this one on it was so comfortable I could literally run up and down the bridal salon in it.

I had my tailor add some extra crinoline to the hips of the skirt to give it a fuller ballgown effect which makes your waist look so snatched but if you prefer a slimmer look it can also easily be taken out. The corset closure has hooks, a zipper, and then traditional bridal buttons that cover the zipper. The skirt closure is a hidden zipper with hooks that connect on a satin belt.

I wore it from about 2pm - 8pm which is sort of depressing that it only got 4 hours in the spotlight but hopefully it can live on through another bride! There are a couple of tiny safety pin holes in the lining of the corset but you can't see them at all from the outside as I had to make an impromptu elastic belt on the inside day-of cause I'd lost some extra weight. But it still looks in perfect condition and has been fully dry cleaned and is in a preservation box.

Also, as it's a two-piece set you can mix and match throughout the day and switch the corset top for a bandeau for the reception or pair the corset top with a mini skirt for the afterparty.
