About the Dress

I was deeply inspired by designs by Phillipa Lepley, as well as classic dresses with an off-the-shoulder collar made in silk. The dress was made over a period of 6 months with a custom dress maker in Toronto

The quality of silk on my wedding day was a must for me - the gown is made in silk by Taroni, the same Italian silk maker used in couture by Valentino. The luminosity of the fabric took my breath away.

The elegant collar is a highlight of this dress - it lengthens and draws attention to the neck and collar bone, and made me feel beautiful, like a princess.

It has a beautiful silk train that is cathedral length (we were married in a basilica)

Built in corset, surprisingly comfortable. It kept the dress propped up on my body all night and I didn't have to adjust it.

Spent $800 on dry cleaning, by Style and Grace Cleaners (the best available) in Toronto. It is in excellent condition.
