Stewart Parvin, Angel Face B554

‘Angel Face’ by Stewart Parvin purchased in 2008. Made from a silk zibeline (B82 Silk Duchess) with a stunning taffeta (B48) sash in colour ‘Cappuccino’.

Bought from Stewart Parvin’s boutique on Motcomb Street, Belgravia in London and fitted by Stewart himself, it has been worn once. Originally bought as a size 12, but I had it taken in via fitting at the boutique so fits like a size 10. The dress was professionally dry-cleaned in London and boxed immediately following return from honeymoon.

Stewart Parvin is one of the UK’s premier fashion and bridal designers, who in 2007 was granted a Royal Warrant of Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen, and in the 2016 New Year Honours list was awarded the MVO, a personal gift form the Monarch to recognise his years of service.

The dress has three layers of light netting as well as a lining made from 100% acetate. The back detail is 15 button and loop, and there is support / padding fitted into the bust area negating the need for a bra. There is internal corseting behind the button and loops to pull the corset in tighter should you wish. Satin tie for the inner corset no longer in tact, will need to replace with a new lace / tie.

There is no damage whatsoever to the dress, only a slight bit of hemming that has come undone (pictured).

There is some very minor staining on the lower back of the train, lower part of the front skirt, on the lining on the underside of the dress and on the top edges of the corset under the arms. All very minor and not visible unless you know it’s there and looking very close up.
