About the Dress

Something old, something new, something blue!

This is the most beautiful alternative Vivienne Westwood Red Label Tudor Laminated Lace dress which I bought for my wedding in 2015 but changed my mind and went for something completely traditional instead. It has been lovingly stored in acid-free paper with the hope I could wear it on our 10th anniversary party this year, however it's now 2025 and I know I sadly won't be able to fit into it! It has never been worn, and I still have the original proof of purchase.

It has an asymmetrical almost-sweetheart neck line with more gathering to one side of the bodice than the other. There is slight chest padding in a built-in wire-free bra with a zip. The cream lace-style fabric has gold embossing all over, so it has a lovely sheen. The underlining is a beautiful blue-striped fabric, so you already have your 'something blue' built in! There is so much fabric in the underlining and skirt that it gives the most amazing silhouette and swoosh, and the cream layer is weighted with a band of the underlining fabric to give it weight.

And, maybe most importantly of all, this dress has a pocket!
