Sizing - I am generally a size 8 however can be a size 6 depending on the brand. Given this dress is A Line the most important measurements are the bust and waist. I am pretty small chested so the cup inserts provided a lovely shape.

I had the hem at the front taken up to my height with my heels and also the top of the straps were ever so slightly taken up so they didn't fall off my shoulder
I also had a couple of embroidered loops added down the back seem so I could hook the train up when dancing
these are not noticeable at all given the amount of embroidery on the gown
