The Dress

I fell in love with this dress in an instant when I tried it on. It is a stunning Jenny Packham Eden dress in Platinum, which is a lightweight tulle dress embroidered with crystals and sequins matched with a bias cut silk slip. The intricate beading and embroidery looks amazing on and the platinum colour is very flattering to warm skin tones.

The cut of the dress and slip is a clever design as it is very complimentary to many body types. The label is a size UK12. I’m a size 10 and the draping of this dress meant it fitted well.

My measurements are 157cm and I wore Rachel Simpson Mimosa shoes with an 8cm heel. Shoulder to waist measurement is about 43cm. The dress was altered in length so the drop from the waist is around 106cm. There are a few small tears on the hem, which could easily be mended. They aren’t visible due to the draping of the dress.

I have never worn anything so beautiful and I had so many compliments on my wedding day such as ‘Your dress is amazing’ or ‘It is the most beautiful wedding dress I have ever seen’. This dress deserves to be worn again as it is too beautiful to be stored in a wardrobe.

It has been professionally dry cleaned and is stored in a Jenny Packham dress bag on a cushioned hanger.
