This classic dress really made me feel like a princess on the wedding day. It was great to have no sleeves, so that my arms were free and it helped when nerves were high and I was feeling very warm. The dress has several layers of organza and netting underneath, so it is a little heavier than a typical dress. There are elastic straps inside to help keep the bodice tight around the body and a zip all the way up the back.

The dress has been cleaned by 'Treasured Posession' who specialise in wedding dress cleaning. Unfortunately due to some light rain on the big day, there are some pale specks of dirt remaining just above the hem. These aren't visible due to the many layers that make up the skirt. I have photos of these marks if required.

Alterations have been made (details below) by our family friend who currently alters Queen Camilla's outfits. A lot of time and care was spent to ensure the alterations were done well.

The dress was originally a size 16, but I lost weight for the wedding and it was altered to fit me
I was wearing a UK retail size 12 at the time the dress was altered
The hem has also been taken up based on my height of 163cm (5ft4in) and I wore small heels that had a 5cm heel
A loop has also been sewn in so that the train could be held, with a little blue bow for my something blue (not visible but easily removable)
