Galaxy Cape Dress in Crepe Satin, UK10 made-to-order

This was my absolute dream dress and it was everything I could want - I hope another bride will get the chance to love it as much as I did!

I purchased this dress via Loho Bride in January 2024 - they communicated with the Vivienne Westwood team on my behalf and it was made to order for my wedding on September 7th, 2024. It was only worn for a few hours before I changed into my second look at the reception. I had it professionally dry-cleaned and the detachable cape (included) was never worn. The original garment bag is of course also included.

For more details on the dress: The Galaxy Cape is a new interpretation of the Galaxy dress, which was originally created for the red carpet, featuring a cinched waist and draped neckline inspired by the classic Vivienne Westwood Ball Tie gown. The gown is created in pearl white FSC-certified crepe satin and 18th-century Watteau style train for added drama. It is the same dress supermodel Georgia Fowler wore for her wedding (pictured).

Alterations

Dress was hemmed for my height (5'9'' with one inch heel) and a low french bustle (underbustle) was added. Additionally, the bodice was taken in two inches so that the dress is now two sizes smaller than the original size in the bust. However, the dress can be reversed to its original size as no fabric was cut and the extra fabric is on the inside.
