This is the Venice dress by Riki Dalal, I bought it as a sample dress but it was in a great condition, only needed dry cleaning. What really drew me in to this dress is the beautiful skirt and train which is embroidered with a flower pattern and sequins. The dress also has a slit and multiple layers, making the dress feel almost like a ballroom gown.

It was a size 12 when I bought it and was about 2 sizes too big on me so I had it altered. I did not find the straps comfortable so I had it removed and replaced with an off-shoulder sleeve. I also changed the back to a corset in order for the dress to fit snuggly on me and added more beading in the front. I had a bustle added due to the train being so long and also had the length shortened. The bra cups are fixed and I had extra padding put on but it is removable.

I felt like a princess in this dress and since I had a corset, I was not worried too much about my weight fluctuating. I had the dress dry cleaned but the only part that got dirty while wearing it was the bottom.
