Elegant Halfpenny Finsbury Dress bought at the Halfpenny headquarters in London.

The Finsbury dress is a simple and elegant dress with delicate straps, an art deco yoke skirt and a dramatic train.

The dress was dry cleaned at Village Dry Cleaners in Chorlton a week after the wedding. The dress is now hung in the halfpenny storage bag in our wardrobe (smoke and dog free home). The dress has only a few tiny and faint marks along the hem, which are barely visible, as shown in the video.

Alterations

Minimal alterations were made on site by Halfpenny as the unaltered size 3 (equivalent to a UK size 10) was already a perfect fit
The dress was shortened for my height (I am 165cm tall and wore 5.5cm heels) and the train reduced slightly to make it easier to dance in
An additional waist belt was added to the inside of the Finsbury dress by Halfpenny for extra comfort, support and to take some of the weight off the pleated skirt
This is fastened by three hooks and is invisible when worn
There is a dancing loop and pads sewn into the breast for added comfort
The dress is hung using its hanging loops, as advised by Halfpenny, to keep all weight off the straps when it is not being worn
