The Dress

Hello! I'm selling my beautiful, custom dress that I wore for my wedding in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This was the very first dress I tried on, and after seeing many other beautiful dresses, my heart came back to this one. The tulle overlay on the bottom half of this dress included embroidered flowers, 3D flowers, and stitched pearls that glisten. To say I felt like a princess in this dress during golden hour is an understatement. I'll never forget when I walked down the aisle, I overheard multiple people in the crowd say "that is the most beautiful dress I've ever seen".

Like I mentioned above, the dress was custom made, meaning it was made for the dimensions of my body. I'm just under 5'8 (5'9 with my baby heels I wore that day), size 18-20 (depending on the store), and would describe myself as having a pear-shaped figure. The dress fit me perfectly around my chest and waist, but if I could have made the shoulder sleeves an inch or two bigger, I would have. The dress is best used with a strapless nude bra, or nothing, since it has reinforcements added to the breast area.

The dress has NOT been professional cleaned and I have accounted that with the price. It was worn one day for about 8 hours at an outdoor venue. Therefore, the bottom fabric and tulle needs a deep cleaning, as some of it is nearly brown toward the bottom 2 inches. Additionally, the armpit area has some staining. I believe all of this will come out with professional cleaning, but I'm not an expert, so I'm not sure what that process looks like.

Since my wedding, the dress has been stored in a garment bag in a closet. I do NOT have the original garment bag, it is in a plastic one.

* There are no known rips or tears; there are some areas that suggest sweat or fluids from beverages were splashed.
* The price was $1975.56 before any alterations and additions. Alterations were another ~$600. I have the receipt in my possession. It was purchased at "Lace and Grace Bridal" in Leander, Texas on [removed].

Alterations

After I received my custom dress, I had the following alterations professionally done:
- Reinforcement wires were added to the front to support a larger chest.
- The dress was hemmed about 6 inches to satisfy my height.
- A bustle was added to the train, so I could wear it comfortably during the reception.
- Ruffles were added to the sleeves to cover my arms a bit.
- The chest was sewn up a little higher so I showed less cleavage.
