About the Dress

Timeless classic, Amalia Carrara by Eve of Milady wedding gown, purchased in 1996, worn in 1997. Professionally cleaned and preserved in 1997, opened in June this year for this listing.

Skirt portion has four layers of tulle, then crinoline and slip lining. Top layer trimmed in satin. Tulle sleeves, satin trimmed with satin-covered buttons.

Fitted satin bodice with embroidered vine design. Back has pearl and rhinestone buttons with rosette detail. Rosettes removable, added by professional dressmaker to match detail I liked on a similar dress; they are hand sewn with removable stitches.

Approximately 17” pit to pit (flat), 13.5” waist (flat), just above where tulle skirt starts 15” (flat), 58.5” length

Headband veil included, satin with pearl trim, tulle veil with satin trim. Hair combs attached to headband.

Some call outs:
— Missing 1 satin button on left sleeve
— Loose threads on 2 embroidered vine leaves
— Back of dress - 2 pin holes from dry cleaning safety pin tag to left of buttons (see photo with blue circles)
— Back of dress - to the left of second button down, appears to be a tiny speck of clear dried glue; perhaps a dry cleaning service can help. (see photo with blue circles)
— Botton hem at side left and back, tulle has come undone from satin trim, can be re-attached
I do feel these call outs can be remedied by dry cleaning/alterations services, or your own skills. A truly special, very well made dress!
