Breathtakingly timeless, this dress is a Johanna Johnson 'The Mae' gown. It is a soft bias cut, silk satin gown that flows into a gentle fishtail, with open back, cap embellished sleeves and belted waist. This dress has a beautiful art deco style and was extremely comfortable to move, walk and dance in!
The dress is ivory with graphite coloured beading on the cap sleeves and belt. The dress has a short round train, with bustle-up option and finger loop. The dress currently has a bra stitched into it for extra support, but can be removed by a tailor if necessary. Soft cups or plain Hollywood tape would also be suitable.
This dress is used, but in pristine condition with no visible marking, having been dry cleaned at Syndals in an unopened box with certificate of clean.
The dress is a small size 8 (would best suit 6-8), with some small modifications made around the shoulders and waist.
I’m 5ft 1” and wore high heels.
The train is able to be bustled and makes for an elegant fishtail.
