The Dress

Beautiful Madi Lane dress with leaf lace detail and open back. The design is very intricate and the dress has subtle sequins sewn in which really glitter in the light.

The top colour is ivory but there is a Mocha underlining which gives the dress a pink hue.

There are detachable sleeves which attach/detach via little poppers. Fastens via 4 buttons at the back and a zip. I wore a hoop underneath this dress to show off the detailing and help me walk.

I’m a size 10/12 in most high street stores annd wear a 34C bra - this fit me perfectly around the middle and on the bust. I’m 5 ft 1 and wore 3 inch heels and had the dress shortened for my height. The straps have also been made shorter as they were very long.

The dress has been dry cleaned and is in a good condition. There are two rips in the lace - one at the bottom towards the front of the dress, and one very small tear in the seam where the loop is at the back. Both fixable and pictured. There is also a little bit of wear inside the mocha lining of the dress where it was on the floor, but this is inside and not visible unless you really look for it. There are also some very small places in the lace where the dry cleaner couldn’t quite bring it back to fully white - again, see pictures.

Two buttons came off - the backs to the buttons have snapped so I can’t sew them back on. I will supply the buttons with the dress but it would be easy enough to replace them.

Comes packed in a sturdy box lined with acid free paper. Smoke free home.

Alterations

Shoulder straps have been shortened, the length has been shortened (more so in the front as it has a fairly long train which flows behind) and there is also a small loop added at the back so that the dress can be pinned up. In hindsight I would have added more loops as the back of the dress is quite heavy and it ended up snapping off two of the buttons - see pictures! But will be easy for any seamstress to add/replace.
