The story of the dress…
18 months pre-wedding, I had a date locked in, a Pinterest board full of inspo, and the knowledge that I wanted something unique. After trying on countless wedding dresses both in Melbourne & overseas, and meeting with multiple designers to discuss custom options, I still hadn’t found THE dress. So, as two career fashion girlies, Mum & I decided to take on the task of creating my wedding dress ourselves.
First, find the fabric. I knew I wanted an element of gold (because chic!!) but also because Mum wore gold on her wedding day. We designed it from Melbourne, with a UK based company - it was three weeks of designing & 8 of production... the most exciting wait!!
Finally the fabric was here and it was time to create the dress.

A 12 month process including customising the fabric to be totally unique, 5 fits, and hours of hand embroidery cut out and stitched by my Mum & Auntie.
Final step, find fabulous bridesmaid to fluff train & hug your incredible Mumma (superwoman). This was the most special part of planning our day & an experience I will cherish forever.
