About the Dress

This is a gorgeous original Jane Bourvis Douglas gown.

It is a hand embroidered lace dress with 100% silk slip to go underneath. Jane Bourvis specialises in working with antique lace, however this is one of her own, hand embroidered designs inspired by the antique laces she works with. The detail on it really has to be seen in person to be believed.

I have included the stock images of the gown from Jane's website (listing for the dress only, excluding lace slip that is included in purchase here, can be seen here - https://www.janebourvis.com/bridal-available/hand-embroidered-ribbon-work-and-lace-douglas-gown), but if you look at the photos of the dress worn you will see that the sleeves have been modified to be longer (so they cover the upper arms). The back of the dress has also been raised ever so slightly so you can wear a low back bra without it showing.

The veil featured in one of the photos is also available for additional cost. This was a custom Jane Bourvis drape veil.
