This dress made me feel absolutely beautiful on the day of our wedding and as a plus size bride that was something I worried about a lot when dress shopping. This was the first dress I tried on and I knew I was in love, but to make sure I tried on several other ones… which of course didn’t compare to this one! I even left and came back a week later to make sure I wasn’t just settling, it was definitely my dress! I would have loved to keep it, but I don’t understand boxing up an expensive gown like this and storing it away when I could be selling it to another beautiful bride to wear on their special day! As a plus size women I knew it was important to show my personal photos. Searching around for dresses was tough because they were always shown on models who didn’t look like me and I couldn’t envision myself in them, so I hope my photos help! :)

Alterations

The sides were taken in, as well as the back, waist, shoulders and hemmed. Added bustle (shown in photos with my father/daughter dance)

My seamstress added a more sturdy hook to the back of the dress after it’s zipped up, game changer!

I’m on the shorter side and wore Vans as my shoe in case anyone was wondering! Dress was dry cleaned right away and currently stored in my dress bag (breathable garment bag) away from sunlight I didn’t add my hip size only because it didn’t matter for this dress, but if you wanted to know I’m about 50” in the hips. I hold most of my weight in my stomach and a lot of dresses I tried on outlined that part of my body which I didn’t like, but not this dress and it made me feel absolutely amazing!
