The Dress

This was my dream dress. I had this custom made by an incredible designer whose work is impeccable! When I received it I was floored with her workmanship and detail on how identical it was to my inspiration photo she worked off of. I know she worked hard on this gown and I am so grateful for how beautiful it is.
Unfortunately, I have decided to go in a different direction due to location of the ceremony and weather at the time (hot) and a loss of weight on my end where I did not want to alter the gown as my shape is different now.
It is a fully beaded lace with a thin tulle liner underneath with center slit. I did take out the thicker liner that was originally in the dress which did not make the dress see-through. Another liner if wanted could be added easily. The way she laid the lace in pattern is perfection! The shoulder pads have a lift to them and I requested a deep v neckline where she placed invisible mesh to hold in place. I added a white belt to modernize but it is not attached in any way.
These photos are when I first took it to my seamstress (before weight loss) to cut the train off as it was so heavy and puddled behind me making it hard to walk in. I normally wear a US 6 dress and size 8 pants. I am hippy with a small waist. This cut hangs at the hips so there is forgiveness either up from an 8 or down from an 8. I am 5'7 without heels and had 4" heels on when she cut the train off making my height you see in the photos/videos with heels on 5'11". You can have the dress altered in length if you are shorter.
I am wearing an undergarment brief which is not attached to the gown. The gown does not have a bodysuit or undergarment. The top and the way she has the mesh makes it not see through but you can wear a bra or cups or have it added by your seamstress.
I am sad to let this one go because I was obsessed with it but learning the weather would be 70's in our location and it now not fitting, I have to say goodbye knowing it will go to another loving home.
