I chose this dress because of its elegant and simple silhouette. I loved the unusual silver embroidered flower pattern on the bodice and the lower centre of the skirt, adding enough interest without being overly fussy. The impact is in the simplicity. It moves nicely when on, and I found it easy to dance in.
The bodice is boned, with some slight padding around the bust (avoiding the need to wear a bra) but this could be removed.
Fully lined, with net underskirt which allows the dress to keep its beautiful shape.
This dress is in good condition, but there are some minor marks including on the hem where it has brushed along the ground.
I wore it once in 2002, so I guess it is probably classed as vintage now, but the style I feel is fairly timeless.
I am 5ft 8 inches and wore the dress with 2 inch heels.
