The Dress

Monique Lhuillier Spring 2018 Alexandra Gown.

This is a Monique Lhuillier "Alexandra" wedding gown, made of gorgeous, lightweight horsehair adorned with lace, a corset bodice, dropwaist, sweetheart neckline. So so flattering!

I absolutely love this gown, but it deserves another chance to be worn again! This dress was everything I wanted and more for my wedding day! The lace is so beautiful in person and photographed wonderfully. Most importantly, I felt comfortable (it feels so light) in a wonderfully made gown that looks amazing on all body types.

It is absolutely stunning, the dress is in impeccable condition, and it is due for a bride to love and enjoy! I only wore this gown for my ceremony and pre wedding day photos. So it’s still in such good condition.

The train, lace, and dress are the epitome of elegance. The dress has a Ball Gown style silhouette with a sweetheart strapless neckline, internal corset, dropped waist, and zip closure in the back of the bodice. I added cups in the corset but they can be removed by any seamstress.

The full skirt comes with internal horsehair construction for skirt fullness and drapes beautifully with the magnificent lace train.

I will include with the dress a veil that I had made to match.

I wore 3” heels on my wedding day. Perfect length for dress.

Alterations

The dress can still be easily taken in or out (I confirmed that with my seamstress).

I am a standard size 4: 34C/32D bust, 27in waist, 5'7'' height and my seamstress said no issues with getting it fitted perfectly to me or any other size.

The current measurements of the dress are as follows: 32D bust, 25in waist, 5'10'' height.

I added cups to the corset but those can be removed. I also had my seamstress take in the corset portion of the dress.
