The Dress

‘Bella’ gown from Grace Loves Lace in standard size small (Aust. Size 8). Double layered silk with a gorgeous split leg feature and low back, with lengths of fabric to tie the dress in a variety of ways at the back. The dress retails online for $4,750 in the ‘ready to wear’ option, with shipping then added on to this cost. This dress was purchased in October 2023.

Minor alterations were done to fit my size and height - the hem was taken up slightly; slight pinning in of fabric around hips so that there was no gaping; shoulder straps shorted slightly. I am a standard size 8 and my height is 162cm.

There were almost no marks on the dress from the day of the wedding, except for some small marks on the edge of the train and two a little higher up on the train.
The dress has been professionally cleaned. The marks are not noticeable when the dress is on, only when hung up on a hanger and held to the light. It is possible that the marks can be removed by spot cleaning, as they are not from red wine or anything with heavy staining - dry cleaning was used for the rest of the dress, without applying any spot cleaning.
