The Dress

I had a difficult time finding a dress that "felt like me" until I tried on these pieces from Danielle Frankel. The pants are closely tailored at the top, and flowy at the bottom, which allowed the outfit to pass for a dress at first glance but gave me the comfort of knowing they were pants. If you don't see yourself in a traditional white gown, this is a perfect option for you!

The Anika Bustier is a lace and piped cotton twill basque waisted bodice, with exaggerated soft tulle, pleated streamers at bust, and full hook and eye closure at back. There is an internal band underneath the bust that hooks in the back and determines how the bustier sits on your body - I had this moved down a half inch so that I would have slightly more bust coverage as compared to the model photos. The top is size 0 and my normal size in tops is small. My normal bra size is 32c or 34b.

The Rory pants are silk wool palazzo with pin-tucked pleated details, back zip, and hook and eye closure. The silk wool feels much more substantial than normal silk pants, and flows beautifully as you move around. I am 5'7", wore 4.5-inch heels, and have a pear-shape body. I had the waist taken in very slightly and hemmed the pants to skim the floor with my shoes on. The pants are size 2 and my normal size in pants is 4.

Bustier Condition: The outfit was professionally dry-cleaned by a wedding gown specialist in NYC. There is a very light small mark on the bustier which I only see in bright light.

Pants Condition: The pants have some marks but they are largely hidden by the fabric pleats (in the last photo, I am pulling the fabric so you can see in-between the pleats). The bottom of the pants zipper is pulling slightly - this is also largely hidden by the fabric (again in the last photo, I am showing the fabric pulled back on the zipper, as well as how it lies naturally). The pants hem does show more meaningful wear, but this could be easily hemmed away if your height with shoes is less than 5 feet 11.5 inches.
